Gometta began in 2012 as a creative outlet for designer and goalkeeper Juan Gamboa, who used it to sketch bold glove concepts that pushed past traditional designs. The brand's first models, the G-Fit and G-1, became the foundation of the line it sells today.
Gamboa says several of his concepts were later picked up by major brands, while many of his designs remain in his sketchbook. He plays professionally for the Dallas Sidekicks, with more than 100 career games, and also coaches high school soccer.
Today's range includes the G-Fit, G-Alpha, G-Force and G-Flux lines. Gometta also runs the BeGometta program and partners with goalkeeper academies.
