Guardian is an Italian goalkeeper brand built around the experience of Giuseppe Di Masi, a former professional goalkeeper who spent about 19 years in Italy's Serie B and Serie C. The brand says his years in goal taught him what modern keepers want in quality, stability, grip and performance.
Each Guardian glove starts as a hand-drawn sketch before moving to digital design, a review of cut and latex, and a prototype that the brand's sponsored keepers test before release. Guardian also makes padded protective wear and compression clothing for goalkeepers, and it says it has partnerships with keepers from Serie D up to Serie A and in leagues abroad.
