KeepHer was started by Doug Diller, a Portland, Oregon, coach who spent 15 years coaching his three daughters. While training his middle daughter, Abby, he realized that goalkeeper gloves were designed around male hands, from their fit and feel to their colors.
Diller set out to build a glove for the female hand from the ground up instead of shrinking a men's glove. KeepHer says that made it the first glove company built around the needs of female goalkeepers, and KeepHer Australia lists the gloves in sizes 6 to 9.
The brand later reached Australia and New Zealand through KeepHer Australia, which launched in 2023.
