SP Fútbol History

Independent goalkeeper glove brand · Spain · Founded 2005

SP Fútbol began in 2005 as the in-house brand of Soloporteros, a Spanish store that specializes in soccer goalkeepers. At the time, professional keepers had sponsorship deals with big brands, while amateur and youth goalkeepers had few specialized choices. SP set out to give those players gloves with features similar to what the pros wore.

A new corporate image in 2009 marked a change in direction. SP stopped following market trends and began trying to set them, building its own design and product development team and launching products such as extra-long socks, glove cleaner, grip spray and gloves made specifically for women.

A second rebranding in 2017 accompanied SP's move into professional soccer with high-end models such as the Mussa, Caos and Atlas. The brand says it made its Champions League debut with Ederson at Benfica and that keepers wearing SP have won Spain's women's league, the Women's Champions League and the Women's World Cup. A third rebranding in 2024 gave SP a more modern logo.
