T1TAN History

Independent goalkeeper glove brand · Germany

T1TAN is a German goalkeeper brand founded by Matthias Leibitz and Manuel Meier, both lifelong goalkeepers. Like many keepers, they spent years buying their own gloves and saw only two choices: overpriced gloves with features nobody needs or cheap models that let keepers down. Their answer was a brand built on the idea that every goalkeeper should be able to play with the same equipment as the pros.

Leibitz told Shopify that T1TAN set out to price its gloves 30% to 50% below comparable gloves with the same grade of latex. The company also faced a German court case over its name brought by former Germany goalkeeper Oliver Kahn, and it kept the name.

T1TAN has grown without outside investors. It says it has served more than 650,000 customers, runs warehouses on four continents and has more than 1.6 million social media followers, and Egypt goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir wore its gloves at the 2026 World Cup.
